tuesday text v1 3000x1704

Thought to share: I AM not militant, demanding that you never feel anxious, stressed or pain. I AM not disappointed in you when emotions surge through your heart and overwhelm you. I do not expect you to be robotic and never feel. Instead, I AM compassionate towards you, inviting you to give ME your weighty, negative, gut-wrenching emotions. You were not designed to carry those. Give them to ME, and in exchange, I will give you peace, relief and rest.

Matthew 11:28 (TPT) Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to Me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis.

1Peter 5:7 (TPT) Pour out all your worries and stress upon Him and leave them there, for He always tenderly cares for you.

Jeremiah 31:25 (Msg)  I’ll refresh tired bodies; I’ll restore tired souls.

  2. Even when my relationship with God wasn’t as personal as it is now, He’s shown me many times how He loves me even before I knew I had the need. But way too often I took that weight and anxiety and held onto it for dear life. Now I work daily on my relationship with God. As we were pulling into this campground we got a flat tire, 2nd night here our water hose froze up and then the power cord on my laptop wouldn’t charge. My youngest daughter asked how things were going, and I explained the above and how much we liked our location, and how blessed we were getting around the wild weather. She texted me back and said “wow you are handling that all great”. I then had to think about it, a couple of years ago, these things would have freaked me out. But it becomes so much easier to rest it all in our Father’s hands the closer you pull yourself to Him. I am so blessed He is working in my life, and He is such a good, good Father. Thank you Kim, for the positive input you always put into our hearts, both in your words and your responses to life’s trials. I know God sent us your family to help us grow. Much love… Joyce

  3. When asked to pray on a daily prayer call I seem to be always declaring that truth, the burdens are not for us to carry!!! I do that because of the prayer request I’m hearing which are often accompanied with suggestions on how GOD Can fix the problems!!! Yes Our words matter but our actions must also line up with our words !
Tuesday I was asked to speak on the prayer call and what I thought I was speaking on changed. Instead I shared as we begin this new year let us reacquaint ourselves with the awesomeness of our GOD!!! As adults we know how to say the right things but I wonder sometimes if I even have a clue about what totally letting go of my burdens for GOD to handle would look like!
When my children were young their biggest problems became as nothing if they let me know about their need!!!
How much more should we, as little children, trust our Heavenly Father!!! My awareness of who He is helps me as I pursue truly trusting HIM with everything in my life!!
    Great message and awesome comments!!!

Thanks for sharing Kelvin! It’s so true – God doesn’t need our help answering our prayer. And if we give Him the solution, which may not be His plan – when He does answer with a different solution, we often miss it! I’ve learned to say “ HELP” and then let Him take the lead!
